Our application portal opens for all project teams. Review the team descriptions and requirements before applying.

Transfer Applications Open

January 29

Interested in switching teams? Submit a transfer application to explore new projects and continue growing within CUSD.

Coffee Chats Open

January 29 - February 5

Sign up for a coffee chat with a current member to learn more about CUSD and our projects. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and get to know our projects better.

Info Session 1

February 3 @ Virtual

Attend our first information session to learn about CUSD's mission, values, and the various project teams you can join. Team leads will present their projects and answer questions.

Info Session 2

February 3 @ MVR 1153

If you missed the first info session, join us for our second session to learn about CUSD and our application process. This is your last chance to ask questions before applciations close.

Application Deadline

February 8 - 11:59 PM EST

All applications must be submitted by this deadline. Late applications will not be considered. Make sure to complete all required sections of the application.

Interviews

February 10 - 12

If your application is considered, we will reach out to schedule an interview based on your team preference where you will have the opportunity to tell us more about yourself, your background, and why you would be a great fit for the team.

Decision Emails

February 13

Applicants will be emailed regarding final decisions and next steps. If accepted, you'll receive onboarding details and information on confirming your spot.

NME Meeting

February 18

New Member Education (NME) kicks off with an intro meeting covering expectations, team structure, and tools. You’ll meet members of your team, get onboarded, and learn how the team work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need prior experience to join CUSD?

No prior experience is required for most teams! We welcome students from all backgrounds and skill levels. What's most important is your passion for sustainability and willingness to learn.

Can I join multiple teams?

While we recommend focusing on one team to maximize your impact and learning, some members do participate in multiple teams. Discuss this possibility with team leads during the application process.

What makes a strong application?

Strong applications demonstrate genuine interest in sustainability, clear communication, and specific reasons for wanting to join particular teams. Be authentic and show how your unique perspective can contribute to our mission.
